The Angel in the Tree (2)

As Medy sat in her seat by the window (’twas summer, so it was HOT!!). Her teacher taught them geometry. And decimals. Or, at least, trying to. The students were excited for Runaway Day, which is a day they can go everywhere in and around the school, including the out-of-bounds place. Medy was excited only so she can explore the place. When the day came, Medy headed straight to where the forest with the crooked, old tree. When she got there, she put her hand on the first tree and looked inside. “Whoa”, she breathed. She expected to see trees all crowded in, making no space for a living to go through. Instead, she saw trees making a cave-like structure and many, many paths. She took a few steps and saw. . . .
