Remembrance Day
Posted by grace on Tuesday Nov 11, 2008 Under HolidayRemembrance Day is on November 11th on the 11th hour, and maybe the 11th minute, every year.
Since it’s in November, the 11th month. Remembrance Day is a day to remember and honor the soldiers who fought in the World Wars, I and II. Many died. Some survived. But they were sad. Because their best friends have died.
Poppies grow in Flanders Field. Some people fought in that field. Poppies grow around cross tombstones. It is very quiet. We are lucky in Canada because there are no wars.
Remembrance Day is also called Veterans Day or Poppy Day. Maybe the day was made by a king on November 7th, 1919.
Peace to me is love and care around the World!
